SUMMARY:Future Logistics Summit in Manchester
DESCRIPTION:Event description\n	\nUpon completion\, the participant should be able to : \n◎ Describe different biological processes and their engineering applications for wastewater treatment\n◎ Categorize different air pollutants and distinguish the different physico-chemical and biological air pollution control techniques for particulate and gaseous contaminants;\n◎ Apply basic thermodynamic principles to determine reaction rates of environmental processes under a given set of operating conditions\n◎ Describe the different water treatment methods and with the help of simple examples\, evaluate the performance of water treatment plants\n◎ Solve problems pertaining to the design and operation of different environmental systems \nThe Environmental Engineering short course is offered by IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. \nSeveral simple and advanced techniques to produce reliable drinking water from groundwater and surface water (water treatment) are used world-wide. To limit environmental pollution\, wastewater has to be treated; an overview of basic processes available for the treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater is given in wastewater treatment.

SUMMARY:Breakbulk Europe 2018 in Bremen
DESCRIPTION:Event description\n	\nGood understanding of the prospects of the Mediterranean countries developing as producers of gas/oil for transportation and distribution to European Union parallel to the already available Russian gas/oil serving through pipelines to most European countries as part of existing agreements. \n\n	ProgrammeStructure\n	\nThe concept of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounding countries becoming a new Energy Hub will be analyzed and discussed. In particular\, the prospects of Greece developing as an oil/gas producing country will be considered and the possibilities of gas/oil produced by other Mediterranean countries such as Egypt\, Lebanon\, Israel and Cyprus to be transferred to Europe through Greece will be explored.
